Heavenly Protempeh slices

Serves: 2

Cooking Time: 10 mins    Marinade: 15 min


  • 200g of Fresh tempeh 

  • 1 tbs coriander seeds

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 1tsp turmeric

  • Good pinch of salt

  • 4 tbs water

  • 3 tbs of oil (your preferred choice)

  • 2tbs of kecap manic (optional)

  1. Cut the tempeh into thin slices ​.

  2. In a small food processor, add all the ingredients, except tempeh and blend into a semi-liquid paste, add more water if necessary.

  3. Marinade the tempeh for 10 min.

  4. Heat oil in a pan (high heat).

  5. Fry your tempeh slices until golden brown on both sides. 

  6. If you have kecap manis, add 2 tbsp just before the end of cooking.  

Serve with stir-fries, in salads, curries, sandwiches, etc. 
Sambal Oelek or Srirasha sauce will accompany those heavenly tempeh slices perfectly.
